Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouses to support analytics and business intelligence.
  • Work with big data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hive, Trino, and Airflow.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, streams, files, and cloud storage.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all environments.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and DevOps engineers to deliver reliable data services.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Document data pipelines, schemas, and processes for maintainability.

Qualifications:

  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with big data frameworks: Kafka, Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Trino.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and workflow schedulers: Airflow, NiFi, dbt.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
  • Experience with data modeling and schema design for relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with object storage and cloud platforms: MinIO, S3, GCP, Azure, or private cloud.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices, Git, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
