Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of architects, mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure engineers.
- Manage external design consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless handover and maintainability of facilities.
- Oversee the design and implementation of Tier III/Tier IV data center infrastructure (power, cooling, fire protection, security, and structured cabling).
- Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations.
- Manage the full lifecycle of data center projects from concept to commissioning.
- Develop budgets, schedules, and risk assessments for capital projects.
- Ensure alignment between design, cost, and operational performance targets.
- Implement best practices for energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational resilience.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of systems (power, cooling, fire protection, automation).
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in data center design, delivery, or operations.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy strategies, and data center standards.
- Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience in GCC/Middle East region is highly desirable (for local context).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in project management tools and engineering design software.
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on resilience and innovation.
