Roles & Responsibilities

Support the crew scheduling controllers in managing published flight and cabin crew rosters within the scope of day-of-operations for Dubai and outstations. Ensure the correct crew complement are available on each flight within defined time limitations, and as per regulatory requirements. Strive to achieve the highest level of productivity and resource optimisation, without compromising the operation.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate with the crew scheduling team to ensure relevant crewing information is available to support operational decisions. Provide feedback and recommendations on crewing solutions to ensure effective recovery of operations.
  • Implement recovery solutions in collaboration with crew scheduling during operational disruptions. Maintain operational awareness and crew communication in collaboration with relevant stakeholders throughout the recovery process.
  • Manage roster amendments on the day of operation as a result of crew sickness or other changes as requested by management.
  • Responsible for the cabin crew complement and complex atributes on each flight, and ensure adherence to company policy and regulatory requirements. Ensure accurate reports are shared with the relevant outstations for acceptance prior to departure.
  • Highlight operational abnormalities within day of operation scope including but not limited to aircraft changes, and ensure the correct flight and cabin crew complement are available on the impacted flights. Proactively communicate operational changes of assigned duties to flight and cabin crew in a timely manner.
  • Assign crew from standby ensuring the crew assigned align with GCAA legalities and company requirements.
  • Responsible for flight crew training recovery outside of office hours to minimize disruptions to published roster.

Desired Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations Control, Crew Scheduling, or a related aviation operational environment
  • Minimum: High School Certificate or equivalent (Higher education in aviation or business is an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks, including Flight Time Limitations (FTL) and crew legalities.

  • Knowledge of airline operational systems exposure to crew management or scheduling tools is an advantage.

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work confidently under pressure in a live operational environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate multiple options in time-critical scenarios.

  • Ability to analyse operational data, identify risks and propose optimisation solutions.

  • Flexibility to work in a shift-based environment supporting 24/7 operations.
