Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures in line with FRA regulations and company objectives.
  • Lead the credit assessment and approval process for consumer finance products.
  • Evaluate customers creditworthiness using scoring models, financial analysis, and external credit bureau data (I-Score).
  • Monitor and manage the loan portfolio, ensuring portfolio quality and minimizing delinquency rates.
  • Design and oversee the risk management framework to balance growth with credit risk.
  • Build and lead the Credit & Underwriting team, providing training and performance reviews.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities (FRA, I-Score) and external partners.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Operations, Collections) to ensure smooth end-to-end credit processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master s degree is a plus).
  • 7 10 years of experience in credit analysis/credit risk, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Solid experience in consumer finance / non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs).
  • Strong knowledge of FRA regulations and local credit bureau practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement credit policies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and credit scoring tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
