Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage Customer Accounts: Monitor and control customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables, minimizing overdue balances.
- Credit Assessment: Review and evaluate customer credit applications, recommending appropriate credit limits based on risk analysis and company policy.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date receivable records, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Payment Follow-Up: Proactively follow up with customers via phone, email, and formal correspondence to secure payments and maintain positive cash flow.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and address customer inquiries efficiently.
- Reporting & Escalation: Prepare detailed aging reports and escalate delinquent accounts for further action when necessary.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company credit policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Closing Support: Provide accurate receivables data to support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify high-risk accounts and recommend legal action or write-offs when recovery is deemed unfeasible.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers while safeguarding the company s financial interests.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience
- Strong understanding of credit controller principles and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Willingness to work on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
