Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Navigate efficiently through assigned routes, utilizing GPS and other tools to ensure timely deliveries and minimize delays.
- Safely load, unload, and transport packages of varying sizes and weights, adhering to proper handling procedures to prevent damage.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving any delivery issues promptly.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns to ensure vehicle readiness and compliance.
- Accurately scan and record package information using handheld devices, ensuring proper tracking and documentation of deliveries.
- Manage cash transactions and handle payments as required, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company financial procedures.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations, prioritizing the safety of yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize deliveries based on urgency and route optimization, maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members, providing updates on delivery progress and any unexpected delays or issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, ensuring a professional appearance and adherence to company standards.
