Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and development projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying variances to maintain financial discipline.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary data for cost estimation and control.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis and forecasting to anticipate potential overruns and recommend corrective actions.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and present cost reports, cash flow projections, and financial summaries to management and stakeholders.
  • Support tendering processes by preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) and pricing documents.
  • Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures to optimize project financial performance.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing insights on cost-related matters and supporting decision-making processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • 4 to 6 years of proven experience in cost control and estimation within the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation methodologies, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Familiarity with tendering processes and contract administration.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
