Role Description
We are looking for a Cost Control Engineer to join our team full-time on-site at our New Cairo project.
The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, analyzing cost performance, and supporting the project team with accurate cost data. The role also involves preparing periodic reports, assisting in forecasting project costs, and ensuring cost control procedures are applied effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs and ensure compliance with the approved budget.
- Prepare and update cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries.
- Track project expenditures and variances and report deviations from budget.
- Support in the preparation of cost estimates and forecasts.
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, and site teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in developing and improving cost control systems and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 4 years of experience in cost control, preferably within the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of cost management principles and project accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control software (e.g., Primavera, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Previous experience in mega projects or urban development projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling is a plus.
