Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Tasks and duties:
1 Support the annual budgeting and cost forecasting processes, including preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports for management review.
2 Provide cost estimates and analysis for new product developments and process changes.
3 Oversee periodic inventory valuation and reconciliation activities, ensuring accurate reporting and control.
4 Monitor stock movements and ensure proper cost allocation to inventory items.
5 Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal control procedures.
6 Collaborate with external and internal auditors during financial and operational reviews.
7 Implement cost accounting best practices and support continuous improvements in ERP systems and related processes.
8 Verify and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Calculate and reconcile all additional costs (freight, insurance, customs duties, etc.) and record them accurately in the ERP system.
9 Maintain up-to-date supplier and shipment cost records for management and audit purposes.
10 Investigate and resolve discrepancies or outstanding supplier issues, and prepare debit and credit notes as required.
11 Generate financial and cost-related reports on a regular or ad-hoc basis for management decision-making.
12 Maintain and update the document management system, ensuring all financial documents are properly filed and accessible.
13 Assist in Tax (IT/VAT/WHT) reporting and compliance activities as required by management.
14 Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including document filing and record organization.
15 Assist in the payroll process and other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
Special Skills and Knowledge:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Previous experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations is a plus.
Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel is required.
Knowledge on TAX/VAT will be an added advantage
