Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, formulate, and test new cosmetic products in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate the stability, efficacy, and safety of cosmetic formulations.
- Analyze raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately for future reference and regulatory audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, and production to support product development initiatives.
- Troubleshoot formulation and production issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and safety protocols are followed.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in cosmetic chemistry.
- Assist in scaling up formulations from laboratory to pilot and full-scale production.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a cosmetic laboratory or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic formulation principles and raw material properties.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
