Roles & Responsibilities
The Corporate Communication Officer is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of internal and external communication initiatives. The role involves writing and editing various communication materials, managing social media presence, maintaining brand consistency, and assisting in media relations. Additionally, the role ensures smooth communication flow within the organization and supports corporate events and activations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, social media posts, and internal announcements.
- Develop content for the company website, email campaigns, and digital platforms to highlight new routes and customer stories.
- Maintain an editorial (PR) calendar and ensure content deadlines are met.
- Manage and monitor social media channels, responding to customer inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Track media coverage, analyze sentiment, and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts.
- Support media relations by maintaining media lists, organizing media events, and preparing press releases and pitch materials.
- Assist in organizing internal events, corporate activations, and press conferences, including logistics and post-event communication.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and materials.
- Utilize graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva to create visually appealing content.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate effective internal communication and information flow.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome; experience in an office environment or marketing/communications is a plus.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Understanding of media trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and graphic design software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva).
- Proactive and energetic attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
