Roles & Responsibilities

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Diagnose and correct equipment and system malfunctions, which fail to respond to

  • standard corrective measures. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems.

  • Prepare reports, charts, and graphs for management personnel to use in making decisions, which will be instrumental in the ultimate performance of IT xerographic equipment.

  • Install and maintain new model equipment. Due to the unique nature of the job site,

  • the copier technician will be required to install and maintain equipment in a variety of workspaces.

  • Establish and maintain necessary record-keeping procedures for service logs, and parts ordering/tracking spreadsheets that will allow for easier training and transition for future personnel.

  • Maintain a centrally shared information repository where above information can be

  • retrieved for future use by copier technicians/engineers. Maintain an inventory of all copiers and associate parts, kits, and consumables.

REQUIRED:

  • The candidate must have two (2) years diversified experience in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electromagnetic systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

The Copier Technician/b> position will be based at one of the three Amentum sites in Iraq. This position will serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) and/or Baghdad Life Support (BLiSS) contracts in support of the U.S. Department of State. The Copier Technician s primary duties include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of complex technical functions related to the support of engineering activities such as installation, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electromagnetic systems. Major responsibilities of this position reside in equipment maintenance and technical support. This position reports to the IT Program Manager or designee. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:/b>

Education:/b> A high school diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/b>

  • Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
  • Experience providing excellent customer services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
  • Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

Passport, Licenses and Certifications:/b> As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers license

Security Vetting:/b> Already possess a Secret or be able to obtain a favorable Secret certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract.

Language Skills:/b> Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.

Medical: /b>Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

DESIRED:

  • Experience with SHARP, Lexmark, HP printers / plotters / copiers; and should have experience.
  • in maintenance and repair tools as well as the equipment used in the installation of electrical / electronic components.
  • Ability to create charts, reports and graphs for management review and working knowledge of MS office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous out of home country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
  • Experience working with Amentum / PAE.
