Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Control Room Engineer is responsible for operating the power and water plant from the control room to ensure safe and efficient plant performance in compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure HSE compliance and perform role of Safety Controller
  • Operate plant to meet power and water demands
  • Monitor equipment, diagnose faults, and conduct routine checks
  • Support Emiratization and staff training
  • Coordinate maintenance and issue work permits
  • Communicate with LDC and prepare operational reports

Key Relationships

Internal: Shift Manager, Operations, Maintenance, HSE, HR

External: Power and Water off takers, LTMA providers, Contractors

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong grasp of HSE and quality standards
  • Experience with Gas & Steam turbines, HRSG, and Desalination
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and make timely decisions
  • Commercial awareness of PWPA and plant contracts
  • Proficient in English
