Job description
Evaluated and assessed incoming tenders to ensure they align with project requirements and business objectives.
Conducted thorough reviews of tender documents, identifying key criteria and qualifications necessary.
Proficiency in creating contracts tailored to the scope of work with subcontractors.
Drafted, reviewed, and finalized contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and project specifications.
Collaborated with legal teams or external counsel to negotiate terms and conditions.
Administered contracts throughout their lifecycle, monitoring compliance, milestones, and deliverables.
Act as a mediator between the contractor and the client for any issues or disputes related to the contract. This could involve delays, changes, or unforeseen circumstances.
Evaluate and process claims, including extension of time (EOT) requests, variations, or additional costs as outlined in the FIDIC conditions
Work to resolve disputes, such as adjudication, arbitration, or mediation
Ensure that any changes to the original scope of work (variations) are documented, assessed for cost, and approved according to the contract terms
Track and manage costs in relation to the contract, ensuring the project remains within the agreed budget
Ensure that payments to the contractor and subcontractors are processed in accordance with the contract s payment terms, including verifying work completed and any claims submitted
Assist in identifying potential risks early in the project, especially related to cost, time, and quality, and suggest mitigation strategies
Make sure the project complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards
Managed direct procurement processes, sourcing materials, equipment, and services needed for project execution.
Established relationships with suppliers, negotiated contracts, and ensured timely delivery of required resources.
Identify gaps and risks associated with contracts to stakeholders, finance, and management, ensuring timely updates
Identify crucial processes, activities, terms, liabilities, and mitigations
Communicate contractual requests effectively with direct project staff, management, and finance through writing and meetings.
Ensure that the tender is prepared and submitted punctually.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management within the civil/contracting industry in UAE.
- Strong understanding of construction law, contract terms, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
