Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose:

Negotiates and manages all the contracts Understand the requirements of any contract or agreement the company is entering and advise on how to get the most favourable terms and conditions.

Summary of the Job Role:

Responsible for Preparing contracts, examining, assessing, and reducing financial risks; overseeing and handling negotiations, communicating contract terms when required, and monitoring and/or supervising payments.

Authorities:

Limited authority works under guidance of Commercial manager.


Key Outputs:

  • Studying the requirements, duties, and obligations of the company under contracts to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and industry regulations.
  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners.
  • Review and update existing contracts.
  • Explain terms and conditions to Commercial manager and interested parties.
  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts.
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
  • Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed.
  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (e.g., payments)
  • Maintain organized system of physical and digital records.
  • Create language standards for existing and new contracts.
  • Overseeing the planning of projects and ensuring that they are programmed to a certain level of detail.
  • Making sure that the procurement and reconciliation of materials are executed accordingly and accurately.
  • Examining and/or assessing risks and coming up with suggestions and recommendations through which they can be minimized.
  • Meeting and liaising with clients, companies, vendors, and/or contractors to communicate and negotiate contract terms.
  • Supervising funds and/orpayments and ensuring that they are well-utilized and managed.
  • Handling the writing andediting of contracts between companies and potential clients
  • Leading negotiation with a client once the contract has been written.
  • Carrying out thorough research on legislation and regulations to make sure that contracts are current and in compliance.
  • agreeing extra works and helping to resolve any disputes which may arise by continual monitorin of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Carrying out project reviews at the end of each project, with site managers and Divisional manager, including performance reviews of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Reporting weekly progress of projects under your control to the Commercial Manager.

Staff

  • Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage staff to ensure staff are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company’s needs.
  • Ensure the Department runs in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy within the functions.
  • Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organization’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.
  • Use AI tools to complete the work in Most efficient manner

Other

  • Attend monthly management meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
