Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions such as Depression, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder, and Substance use disorder.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using psychotherapy, medication management, and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, risk assessments, and mental status examinations.
  • Lead multidisciplinary care planning meetings and provide clinical leadership to mental health teams.
  • Supervise and mentor junior psychiatrists, residents, and allied mental health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in case discussions, audits, and clinical governance activities.
  • Contribute to research, continuing education, and the development of mental health policies and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with medical ethics, legal requirements, and patient safety standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • MBBS Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • British/Irish Qualified with CCST
  • Preferrable experience in general adult psychiatry
  • Completed residency and fellowship training in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license and board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of post-specialization experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to mental health care.
