Job Description

As a Consultant Ophthalmologist, you will hold a highly specialized position responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye disorders and conditions. Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced surgical procedures, including cataract and glaucoma surgeries.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology through ongoing research and education.
  • Provide expert consultations and second opinions for complex cases within the clinic.
  • Educate patients and families on eye health, risk factors, and preventive measures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and ophthalmology trainees effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain meticulous patient records.
  • Engage in public health initiatives to raise awareness about vision and eye care.
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality assurance activities to improve service delivery.
  • Advise on and implement improvements in clinical practices and healthcare policies.

Requirements
  • Medical degree with specialization in Ophthalmology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as an Ophthalmologist .
  • Extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical eye procedures.
  • Exceptional diagnostic skills and proficiency with ophthalmic medical equipment.
  • Strong commitment to continuing education and professional development in eye care.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both with patients and professional peers.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a clinical setting and team environment.
