Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform complex surgical procedures, including laparoscopy, on a wide range of general surgical conditions, demonstrating expertise and precision.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of surgical illnesses, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and clinical judgment to formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Lead and mentor a surgical team, providing guidance, training, and support to junior surgeons, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough patient consultations, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and potential risks in a clear and empathetic manner, especially to Arabic-speaking patients.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and publications, advancing the field of general surgery and improving patient care.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in surgical techniques and technologies, participating in continuous professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to hospital policies and ethical guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a medical degree from a recognized university, with specialization in General Surgery.
  • Hold a valid medical license and board certification in General Surgery, recognized by the relevant healthcare authorities.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 7 years of post-specialization experience in general surgery, with a proven track record of successful surgical outcomes.
  • Exhibit fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Showcase advanced surgical skills, including proficiency in laparoscopic and open surgical techniques.
  • Display a commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for advancing the field of general surgery.
