Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Coordination Review approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project schedules. Plan and manage day-to-day site supervision and inspection activities in coordination with the contractor and consultant. Conduct regular site coordination meetings and prepare minutes and action plans. Ensure timely approvals for shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and work inspections. 2. Progress & Schedule Management Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the baseline schedule. Identify risks, delays, and deviations; propose corrective actions and mitigation plans. Review contractor progress reports and verify site progress for payment certifications. 3. Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance Ensure that all construction works comply with approved drawings, specs, codes, and standards. Conduct quality inspections and raise NCRs/SORs when deviations occur. Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and final handover procedures are followed. 4. Cost & Contract Administration Assist in reviewing contractor variations, claims, and change orders. Verify quantities for interim payments and ensure contractual compliance. Support the client in commercial negotiations where required. 5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Ensure implementation of approved HSE plan and safe work practices. Conduct site safety walks and participate in HSE audits. Report and follow up on incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions. 6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain organized project documentation, logs, and registers. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for client senior management. Support final completion, snagging, defect rectification, and close-out documentation. Key Competencies & Skills Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and technical standards. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. Leadership and coordination skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams. Strong reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Competency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera (P6), and standard project reporting tools. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Architectural / Structural Engineering (or related field). Minimum 7–12 years construction experience, with at least 3–5 years in a client-side or supervision role. Experience in fit-out, commercial buildings, villas, warehouses, infrastructure, or industrial projects (as applicable). UAE experience preferred. PMP / RICS / LEED / Six Sigma certifications are an added advantage
