Roles & Responsibilities
Main Mission
The Construction Manager is in charge of the complete management of construction activities on the site. It is responsible for safety (HSE), quality, deadlines, interdisciplinary coordination and compliance with the Group's technical standards. He manages the integration of the new surface facilities within the customer's field and plant, while ensuring optimal management of SIMOPS and interactions with the operational teams.
Job Dimensions and Responsibilities
Responsible for HSE activities on the site; Applies a proactive approach to security.
Responsible for the construction and integration of new surface facilities, all disciplines combined.
Supervision of construction activities carried out by contractors from both EPCs.
Coordination of SIMOPS and interactions with the production center.
Guarantor of the technical compliance of the constructions with the engineering files.
Ensures the cohesion of the construction teams, from the various partners of the project.
Supervision of site reporting and transmission to the project manager/director.
Representative to official bodies for construction-related activities.
Main activities
Management HSE
Communicates and applies the Group's HSE policies.
Proposes and implements continuous improvement actions in terms of safety and the environment.
Ensures the proper application of health, safety and environmental rules on site.
Organization and Coordination
Sets up the organization of the construction team; participates in the recruitment of staff (seconded by partners).
Participates in the drafting of construction procedures and processes.
Supervises the execution of construction contracts according to quality, cost and schedule requirements.
Prepares and manages SIMOPS in coordination with the EPCs and the production center.
Coordinates the intervention of machines, subcontractors and other trades on site.
Technical and Quality Monitoring
Analyzes the execution plans submitted by the contractors.
Ensures the quality of construction documents and their compliance with standards.
Oversees prefabrication activities, procurement, and site logistics.
Ensures that the site is properly set up according to the execution plans.
Supervises the retreat of the site and the restoration of the site at the end of the work.
Project Monitoring and Reporting
Monitors the progress of work and assignments of contract teams.
Participates in weekly meetings with the Project Manager and informs on progress, risks and arbitration needs.
Contributes to the maintenance of reference documents: PIP, risk registers, changes.
Carries out the administrative follow-up related to construction activities.
Desired profile
Proven experience in multi-discipline site management (piping, civil engineering, surface installations, etc.).
Mastery of HSE standards and proven experience in safety management.
Proven abilities in planning, coordination, technical supervision and interface management (SIMOPS).
Leadership, rigor, ability to anticipate and work in a multidisciplinary team.
