Construction Department Director

SETS is on the look for a Construction Department Director to join its Construction Department in Madinah .The jobholder reports to the PMO Director.

Support the client in overseeing and directing a portfolio of construction projects

Prepare procedures and manuals related to managing construction projects, including HSE requirements

Monitor the compliance of contractors and supervision consultants with the required procedures and manuals and established stage gate procedures

Support the preparation of tender documents and construction scope of work

Analyze, manage, and mitigate construction projects risks

Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Participate in setting goals and plans related to safety operations management within the organization, ensuring the presence of precise frameworks and metrics to gauge the level of achievement of these plans and goals

Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to construction projects

Guide direct reports regarding their responsibilities, provide feedback and advise to achieve department goals

Foster a conducive work environment by discussing best practices and lessons learned, encouraging adherence to professional and ethical standards in daily tasks

Support knowledge transfer and shadow training activities

Saudi national

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 15 years of experience in construction management.

Experience working in Project Management Offices (PMOs) as well as assuming construction supervision or PMC roles

Experience in government/semi-government construction sites, including construction supervision, project control, environmental health and safety, contract management, and quality

Experience in large infrastructure, public, and municipality projects

Professional track record in applying continuous improvement practices on-site and supporting capacity building/talent development in the construction field

PMP from PMI

P3O , PRINCE2 from Axelos

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems from ISO

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Internationally recognized certification in occupational health and safety, awarded by the British Health and Safety Executive NEBOSH from (Certified Safety Professional)

Construction Project Management (PMI-CP)

Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
