We are seeking a proactive, senior Compliance Lead to build and oversee an enterprise-wide compliance program for a large industrial organization in Egypt.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is an individual-contributor leadership role that influences across functions to embed a culture of integrity and ethical business practices. On-site presence is required across Cairo (Nile City) and the Sokhna operations.
-
Own the compliance agenda: set the strategy, policies, and controls to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal standards.
-
Design and maintain the compliance framework covering core risk areas including AML, anti-bribery & corruption (ABC), competition law, economic sanctions, and data privacy.
-
Advise senior leadership (CEO and executives) on compliance risks, mitigation plans, and program effectiveness; prepare reports and recommendations.
-
Conduct monitoring and reviews, support investigations, and coordinate corrective actions where required.
-
Drive awareness and training to strengthen compliance culture across the business.
-
Partner cross-functionally (legal, finance, HR, operations, and plant teams) to embed controls into day-to-day processes and projects.
-
Experience: Minimum 8 years in compliance, legal, audit, or risk roles; strong exposure to industrial/manufacturing environments and multinational settings is recommended. Senior/leadership caliber is expected.
-
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (required). A Law background is highly recommended.
-
Expertise: In-depth understanding of AML, ABC, competition law, sanctions, and data privacy and how to operationalize controls around them.
-
Language: English fluency (C1).
-
Work authorization: Egyptian nationality (as specified for this role).
-
High integrity, sound judgment, and a practical, business-partner mindset.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable advising senior leadership.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail; able to prioritize and deliver under time pressure.
-
Self-starter who can operate independently while influencing cross-functional teams.
-
Employment: Full-time, on-site; 8 working hours/day, 2 days off/week; fixed working hours.
-
Locations: Cairo (Nile City) and Sokhna plant; occasional business visits as required.
- Benefits: Medical insurance, social insurance, profit share per company scheme; transportation/mobile/allowances as per policy.
