International Organization for Migration
IOM CEP programming seeks to empower the CP Directorate to play a leading and coordinating role with other security actors to roll out the CP model at the local level, while simultaneously intervening directly at the community level to enable local civil society organisations (CSOs) and local community police forums (CPFs) to identify and address context-specific obstacles to stability and sustainable peace. Across both axes, IOM aligns its intervention with the priorities of the Iraqi security sector reform programme (SSRP), which includes a specific emphasis on women, peace and security and gender-sensitive policing through the CP s Women Empowerment and Protection Action Plan (CP WEP).
