Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Execute prep lists efficiently, ensuring all mise en place is ready for service, minimizing wait times and maximizing kitchen workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation of sauces, stocks, and other fundamental components, developing a strong culinary foundation.
  • Monitor food inventory and report shortages to the chef de partie, preventing disruptions in service and minimizing waste.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly, including ovens, grills, and fryers, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Learn and understand all menu items, including ingredients, cooking methods, and allergens, to provide accurate information to the team.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Take initiative to learn new techniques and expand culinary knowledge, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment, showcasing practical skills and adaptability.
  • Possesses a culinary diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational understanding of cooking principles.
