Job Description

A Commercial Leasing Consultant is a professional who acts as the intermediary between landlords and tenants in the commercial real estate sector. Their primary role is to facilitate the leasing process of commercial properties such as office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial properties. They are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with potential tenants, negotiating leasing agreements, and ensuring that all terms and conditions of the leases are met. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, an in-depth understanding of the real estate market, and the ability to manage multiple clients and properties simultaneously. As a key player in the real estate leasing process, a Commercial Leasing Consultant is instrumental in ensuring that commercial spaces are leased to suitable tenants, maximizing occupancy rates, and contributing to the profitability and success of real estate ventures.


Responsibilities
  • Identify and target potential tenants through various marketing and networking activities.
  • Conduct property tours and present leasing opportunities to prospective tenants.
  • Negotiate lease terms and conditions to meet the needs of landlords and tenants.
  • Prepare and review lease documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with current tenants to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Analyze market trends to provide clients with relevant leasing advice and information.
  • Coordinate with property management teams to address tenant concerns and property issues.
  • Develop promotional strategies to increase awareness of available commercial properties.
  • Maintain detailed records of all leasing activities and tenant communications.
  • Liaise with legal teams to ensure all leasing agreements adhere to legal standards.
  • Collaborate with accounting departments to manage rent collections and lease renewals.
  • Provide regular reports to landlords on leasing performance and occupancy rates.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial leasing or real estate industry required.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex lease agreements and documents.
  • Proficiency in using real estate management software and CRM tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple properties.
  • Must possess a real estate license or the ability to obtain one promptly.
