Job Description

As a CNC Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the precision and reliability of our computer numerical control machinery. You will be responsible for performing regular inspections, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring all equipment operates at peak efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, where you'll work closely with manufacturing teams to understand the intricacies of production requirements. Your expertise will ensure minimal downtime and optimal productivity, which are crucial in maintaining our competitive edge in the market. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in CNC machinery and a deep understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.


Responsibilities
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal operation.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in CNC machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance and repairs on CNC systems and related machinery.
  • Coordinate with production teams to schedule necessary maintenance without disrupting operations.
  • Maintain an accurate log of repairs and maintenance activities within the system.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements and upgrades to CNC machines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist in training production staff on the basics of maintenance to prevent mechanical issues.
  • Perform diagnostics using specialized tools and software to assess system performance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure replacement parts are readily available when needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in CNC technology and maintenance techniques.
  • Provide rapid response to unplanned breakdowns, ensuring swift and effective repairs.

Requirements
  • A diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with CNC machine maintenance.
  • Proficient in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics accurately.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools and associated maintenance requirements.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
