Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines for steel fabrication, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to develop accurate CNC programs for steel construction components.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor machine performance, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality output.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections of machined steel parts, using measurement tools and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, machine settings, and production records for traceability and continuous improvement.
  • Train and mentor junior operators and technicians on CNC machine operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology and steel fabrication methods to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in CNC programming and operation within the steel construction or heavy fabrication industry.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and maintenance, particularly for steel fabrication.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality standards relevant to steel construction environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Willingness to work onsite and adapt to flexible schedules as required by project demands.
