The Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), University of Balamand, is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time faculty position to teach Clinical Chemistry I, Clinical Chemistry II, and Toxicology at the undergraduate level. The MLS program is delivered across three campuses: Beirut, Souk El Gharb, and Al Koura (Main Campus). Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and availability to teach at any campus depending on scheduling needs.


Position Title:
Part-Time Instructor Clinical Chemistry & Toxicology (MLS Program)

Responsibilities:

• - Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology, covering: Metabolic and organ function tests, Electrolytes, enzymes, endocrinology, Analytical toxicology and drug screening.
• - Prepare and update course materials, exams, and lab manuals aligned with program outcomes.
• - Supervise student laboratory work and ensure high standards of safety and accuracy.
• - Guide and mentor students academically throughout the courses.
• - Participate in faculty coordination meetings and contribute to quality assurance efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• - PhD in Biochemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Toxicology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field or Medical Doctor (MD) with relevant specialization in Clinical Chemistry or Toxicology.
• - Proven university-level teaching experience in English.
• - Demonstrated fluency in English (spoken and written).
• - Willingness and ability to teach at any of the three UOB campuses: Beirut and Souk El Gharb.

Preferred Qualifications:

• - Clinical or laboratory experience in Clinical Chemistry or Toxicology.
• - Familiarity with quality control protocols, laboratory instrumentation, and data interpretation in biochemical testing.
• - Experience supervising lab sessions or student training in diagnostic labs.
