Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:Assist in developing detailed project schedules in coordination with senior engineers and project managers.
    Create and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS) aligned with project deliverables, milestones, and client requirements.
    Support in preparing baseline schedules and ensure adherence to approved timelines.
  • Progress Monitoring:Track project progress against the established schedules, identifying potential delays and suggesting corrective actions.
    Update the project schedule regularly and report discrepancies, risks, and potential impacts to project stakeholders.
  • Resource Allocation and Management:Assist in determining manpower, materials, and equipment requirements in line with project milestones.
    Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely resource allocation and delivery to the project site.
  • Documentation and Reporting:Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to keep the team and stakeholders informed of project status.
    Maintain accurate and organized documentation for planning activities, schedules, and project updates.
  • Data Analysis and Optimization:Analyze project data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and optimize project timelines.
    Support in planning contingency measures for delays and manage project schedule risks.
  • Coordination and Communication:Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines and goals.
    Attend project meetings, providing input on scheduling, progress, and resource needs.
  • Compliance and Safety:Ensure all planning activities are compliant with ACE and client safety standards.
    Support HSE initiatives within the planning function and incorporate safety timelines into project schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in civil planning, preferably within the oil and gas or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry.
  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project management and scheduling principles.
  • Basic knowledge of civil engineering processes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to meet tight project deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience working on projects for major oil and gas companies or ADNOC compliance.
  • Familiarity with HSE practices and regulatory standards in the oil and gas sector.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to challenging environments in the UAE.
