Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between design engineers, construction teams, and project management.
  • Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and specifications; ensure proper interpretation and application in the field.
  • Identify and resolve field design discrepancies and provide technical support during construction activities.
  • Coordinate with design offices, consultants, and vendors for clarification, modifications, and approvals.
  • Monitor civil and structural construction activities (e.g., foundations, concrete works, structural steel, drainage systems, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, HSE standards, and quality requirements.
  • Support construction teams with method statements, construction sequencing, and technical queries (TQs/RFIs).
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of as-built changes, field modifications, and red-line markups for final records.
  • Participate in field walk-downs, inspections, and quality audits.
  • Ensure alignment between schedule, procurement, and construction milestones.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support punch list clearance and final handover to operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 8-12 years of field experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy sector projects.
  • Proven experience in field engineering, construction supervision, or site coordination roles.
  • Familiar with international standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, API, ASME) and project specifications.
  • Strong understanding of civil/structural design, construction methodologies, and sequencing.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documents.
  • Working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Primavera (P6), and MS Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience working in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
  • Experience with onshore or offshore field environments (e.g., pipelines, process plants, terminals) (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with modular construction or brownfield modifications (Preferred)
  • Certification in Project Management, QA/QC, or HSE is a plus (Preferred)
