About the Role

Batco Group is seeking a Chief Surveyor to lead and manage all surveying operations for a major building foundations project. The ideal candidate will ensure precise layout, levels, and alignment control across all structural and civil works, while coordinating multiple field teams and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute all survey activities related to foundation works (excavation, footing, blinding, reinforcement levels, anchor bolts, etc.).
• Prepare, validate, and manage survey data for setting-out and verification of construction works.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level etc.) ensuring calibration and accuracy.
• Develop base maps and coordinate systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
• Produce as-built drawings, survey reports, and maintain precise control-point records.
• Coordinate with design, QA/QC, and site engineering teams to verify that layouts match approved drawings and tolerances.
• Oversee and audit subcontractor survey works to confirm compliance with standards.
• Support design verification and layout adjustments based on site conditions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• 8 10 years of experience in surveying for civil/construction projects, including at least 3 years as Chief or Senior Surveyor.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey instruments (Leica, Trimble, Topcon).
• Strong understanding of foundations and substructure works, tolerances, and construction methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple survey crews, analyze data, and prepare professional survey documentation.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Foundation-only or structural substructure projects.
• Coordinate transformation, datum setting, and site calibration.
