Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Healthcare For a Reputable Healthcare Institution in Lebanon
Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance.
A degree in Healthcare Management is a major plus.
Minimum 10 years of Executive level operational experience within the Healthcare sector and major Large Hospitals in Lebanon is required.
Excellent oral and written English and Arabic skills. French is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
The Chief Operations Officer oversees the ongoing operations and activities of the following Departments/Units : Biomedical Engineering, Facilities, Dietary & Nutrition, Procurement, Materials Management, General Services and the Central Pharmacy.
He/She is responsible for achieving strategic business performance in relation with the operations, within the scope of supervision, to drive extensive and sustainable growth in accordance with the Strategic Plan of the Hospital and the Quality Assurance and Accreditation standards.
Leads the day-to-day operations of the departments within the scope of supervision in accordance with the strategic plan and operating and capital budgets. Ensures excellence in services delivery related to various operations within the scope of supervision.
Manages departmental budgets including signing off of invoices and quotes.
Keeps the CEO fully informed in a timely manner of the conduct of the day-today operations of the Hospital towards the achievement of its established goals and of all deviations from the goals or objectives. Manages relationships with partners and suppliers. Develops, in collaboration with the CEO and CFO, an annual operating plan that supports the Hospital s long-term operations strategy. Ensures strategic objectives are translated into business plans with key measurements set in place to monitor progress. Designs and implements activities that can boost business growth and protocols that can improve the efficiency of the operations. Serves as a link between the division heads and the management. Provides day-to-day leadership and management Provides clear directions on strategic goals, translating and prioritizing them into business and performance measures. Mentors activities to achieve excellent business results through continuous people development. Evaluates the performance of Senior Executives of the Hospital reporting to the COO. Determines training and development needs for team within the scope of supervision.
Good Business acumen. Budgeting & Project Management skills. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and KPIs. High-level understanding of all major business functions. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Good communication and presentation skills.
