Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize all facility operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all occupants.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive facility management strategies, aligning them with the organization's strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a team of facility management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, effective cost control, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards, mitigating potential risks and liabilities.
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs, extending the lifespan of facility assets and minimizing downtime.
  • Manage and coordinate facility projects, from minor renovations to major construction initiatives, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to improve facility performance and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring the safety and security of occupants and assets during critical incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, demonstrating a foundational understanding of facility operations.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as CFM, FMP, or similar, showcasing a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in facility management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, highlighting a track record of success.
  • Experience within the commercial real estate or corporate environment, demonstrating experience in managing diverse facility types and operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting, showcasing an understanding of financial aspects of facility management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop facility management teams.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety, demonstrating technical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously, exhibiting strong organizational skills.
