Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Fully capable of Vessel Engine overhauling, especially Caterpillar, MAK, Yanmar and MAN Engines.

2. Maintaining and repairing equipment.

3. Troubleshooting mechanical issues.

4. Data analysis to assess the performance of machinery.

5. Communicating with and supporting engineers.

6. Documenting machine safety and maintenance.

7. Periodic mechanical inspection of the vessel

8. Testing of all emergency equipment available on board.

9. Maintain a related record, i.e. Defect report, lube oil sample of all machinery, etc. As per company procedure.

10. Check the mechanical portion of PMS on board and maintain it as per instructions.

11. Prepare reports on the work done on board vessels in detail

12. Perform other duties assigned by Technical Team and Technical Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

Mechanic is accountable as per their job responsibilities, trouble shooting as / when required and any other task assigned by Technical Manager according to the prevailing situations. At least 05 years working experience on Caterpiller, Mak engines preferred.
