Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and strategically visionary Chief Financial Officer to lead and manage the overall financial operations of Airwallex Singapore. The ideal candidate should possess solid financial expertise, exceptional leadership, outstanding strategic planning skills, and the ability to drive business growth and financial compliance in a rapidly evolving fintech environment. You will be a key member of the Singapore management team, reporting directly to the Regional or Global Chief Financial Officer, and working closely with the global finance team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities **Financial Strategy and Planning:** Participate in the development and execution of the Singapore company's financial strategy to support the achievement of business objectives, including financial forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, and performance analysis. **Financial Reporting and Compliance:** Ensure the Singapore company complies with all applicable financial reporting standards (such as SFRS/IFRS), tax regulations, and MAS and other relevant regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. **Cash and Treasury Management:** Optimize the company's cash flow management and oversee cash operations, including bank relationship management, liquidity forecasting, and risk management. Assist the global treasurer in the localization of cash strategies. **Financial Operations and Process Optimization:** Lead daily financial operations, including accounting, accounts receivable/payable, and taxation. Continuously improve and optimize financial processes and internal control systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. **Team Leadership and Development:** Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing Singapore finance team, fostering a collaborative work environment and enhancing the team's professional capabilities. Business Partner: Serving as a strategic partner to the business unit, provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to support pricing decisions, investment evaluations, and financial feasibility analyses of new products/markets. Risk and Internal Control: Identify and manage financial risks, establish a robust internal control environment, and ensure the safety of company assets. Tax Planning and Compliance: Manage communication with local tax authorities to ensure tax compliance and proactively conduct effective tax planning. Systems and Projects: Lead or participate in the implementation and optimization of financial systems to support business scalability. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualifications. At least 12 years of relevant work experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a senior financial management position at a fintech, technology company, or financial services institution. Experience working under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory environment, with familiarity with payment industry regulations is preferred. Proficient in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), possessing in-depth knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance. Excellent financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic planning skills, enabling business decisions to be driven by financial data. Demonstrates strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills, effectively motivating and developing teams. Possesses the ability to handle complex problems and multitask management in a fast-paced, high-growth multinational environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, enabling effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds. Proficient in mainstream ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite, as well as MS Office software.
