Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals in the Gulf region.
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on financial decisions, investments, and risk management.
- Drive profitability and financial efficiency across projects and operations.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in line with GCC regulations.
- Ensure adherence to VAT, corporate tax, labor law, and other regional statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, regulatory authorities, and banks for compliance and reporting.
- Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts for multiple projects and business units in the Gulf.
- Monitor project costs, overhead, and cash flow to ensure financial targets are met.
- Implement cost-control measures and optimize procurement and operational expenses.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing arrangements in the region.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, joint ventures, and partnerships within the Gulf markets.
- Plan and execute capital funding and project financing strategies.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks specific to Gulf operations.
- Implement internal controls, financial policies, and governance practices.
- Ensure risk management strategies comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and develop finance and accounting teams across Gulf operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, and executives to drive financial performance.
- Liaise with government agencies, financial institutions, and external auditors.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA/CMA preferred.
- 10+ years of senior financial management experience, with at least 5 years in the Gulf region.
- Strong knowledge of Gulf tax laws, VAT, corporate governance, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in construction, real estate, engineering, or industrial sectors in the GCC.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
