Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

Accounting Operations

• Supervise the general ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain and update the chart of accounts, ensuring consistency and proper financial data classification.

Team Supervision

• Manage and support the accounting team, including Treasury Controller and Senior Accountant.
• Review team outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Provide coaching, training, and professional development to accounting staff.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing required documentation and analysis.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
• Collaborate with tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.

Financial Reporting

• Partner with the Finance Business Partner to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, financial schedules, and management reports.
• Assist in financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Collaborate with IT/ERP teams to optimize the accounting system and leverage automation opportunities.
• Contribute to the digital transformation of financial workflows and reporting tools.
