Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting and reconciliation of accounts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual performance and budgeted figures, providing actionable insights.
- Coordinate audits by external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with all audit requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns and coordinating with tax advisors as needed.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and strategic recommendations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and management accounting.
- Proven expertise in using accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, with advanced Excel skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in an additional language is a plus, especially in multicultural environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on team building and staff development.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to accuracy and a high level of integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
