Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, with a strong focus on VAT and Corporate Tax filings, payments, and documentation.
  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, bank relationships, liquidity planning, and investment strategies.
  • Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS or applicable local standards.
  • Coordinate and support external and internal audits.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance accuracy and reduce risk.
  • Advise management on financial decision-making, cost control, and business performance metrics.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and lead junior accounting staff, ensuring continuous development and performance management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in Tax and Treasury.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS or other applicable financial reporting standards.
  • FMCG background will be an advantage.
  • Strong background in Tax and Treasury.
  • In-depth knowledge of VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
