Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Chemist, you will be an integral part of our scientific team, responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments in laboratories for quality control or to develop new products or knowledge. Your role will involve significant creativity and innovation while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. You will be expected to document your research findings and communicate them effectively to other team members and stakeholders. In addition, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to work on projects that advance scientific understanding and practical applications. This role requires a keen interest in research, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to enhance product or material quality.
- Develop new processes and methodologies for chemical product development tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments and present findings to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers and chromatographs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for research and development activities.
- Analyze and interpret data to provide valuable insights for product improvement.
- Stay updated with advancements in chemical research and pharmaceutical innovations.
- Prepare technical reports and scientific papers for internal distribution and publication.
- Assist in training junior chemists and laboratory personnel in best practices.
- Participate in peer review processes, offering constructive feedback on others research.
- Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for laboratory supplies and materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and chemical procedures.
- Proven ability to conduct complex experiments and analyze results accurately.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and aptitude for critical thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using scientific software and databases for research tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with advancements in chemistry.
