Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Role:
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. This role supports the Sous Chef in delivering consistent culinary excellence within the property.
Job Requirements:
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to high standards.
- Supervise Commis and other junior staff in assigned kitchen section.
- Ensure recipes and portion controls are followed consistently.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, and proper storage practices.
- Assist in menu planning and development when required.
- Monitor stock levels, reduce waste, and assist with inventory management.
- Support training and development of junior kitchen team members.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operation during service.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or fine dining.
- Strong technical skills in the assigned kitchen section.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Good communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
