Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Change Control (Trend) Engineer to join our team!

Specific responsibilities :

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Change Control (Trend) encompass the following:

  • Oversee and consolidate the data of all project changes, ensuring that they are documented, assessed, and approved according to project procedures and guidelines.

  • Identify, monitor, and report on project trends that may indicate potential issues or risks, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly to keep the project on track.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all changes and trends, including change orders, impact assessments, and approvals.

  • Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on project cost, schedule, and quality, and provide recommendations for mitigating any negative effects.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to monitor and report on the implementation of all changes in terms of effectiveness and minimal disruption to project progress.

  • Proactively identify and report potential risks related to project changes and trends, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while maintaining project objectives.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of change control and trends, highlighting any significant issues and their resolution.

  • Continuously recommend improvements to the change control process by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in managing changes.

  • Assist the Cost & Change Control Manager with ad hoc tasks, as required.

Education / experience :

The ideal candidate shall meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate degree required (such as BSc, BA, or similar) in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; post-graduate degree or certifications in project management (e.g., AACE, PMP, RICS) preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience required in project management, engineering, or change control, with a focus on identifying and managing changes in scope, schedule, and cost.

  • Experience with lean construction or construction project trends management.

  • Familiarity with construction contracts and project risk management practices.

  • Prior experience on the client s and/or PMCM consultant s side preferred, with knowledge of PIF Development Companies operating models highly desired.

  • Prior experience on Airport / Infrastructure projects highly desired (but not mandatory).

Required skills / competencies :

The ideal candidate shall possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills to assess the potential impacts of changes and trends on project timelines and budgets.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate changes, trends, and their implications to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite required to perform daily duties.

  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Ability to positively influence and contribute to meetings and to interface with the client and stakeholders.
