Roles & Responsibilities
Experience Level: 2-6 Years
Languages: English (Required), Arabic (Good to have)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Job Summary: The Technician will be responsible for the installation, termination, configuration, and maintenance of ACS & IP Video Surveillance systems and associated infrastructure, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications and MOI-SSD Guidelines under the supervision of the Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test cabling for IP CCTV systems & ACS (UTP, Fiber Optic, Power).
- Mount and connect IP cameras, NVRs, servers, and other security devices.
- Perform basic configuration of network devices and security equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security system components.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies on-site.
- Follow technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans.
- Ensure all installations meet MOI-SSD technical requirements.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Provide support during system testing and commissioning.
- Complete daily work reports and documentation accurately.
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or ITI certification in Electronics, Electrical, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-6 years of hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of IP video surveillance systems.
- Proficiency in crimping, terminating, and testing network and power cables.
- Knowledge of various types of CCTV cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and VMS platforms.
- Familiarity with MOI-SSD installation standards is a significant asset.
