CCR Engineer Potable Water
Location: GCC., GCC.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
  • Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
  • Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment
  • The role operates within a dynamic corporate environment where key decisions significantly impact the Operations & Maintenance division. Such decisions require consultation with and approval from the direct Line Manager before implementation.
  • Operates under the mandates authorized by the responsible Line Manager, ensuring all functional and operational activities are managed with high standards of quality and reporting, thus upholding accountability and transparency.
  • Participates in execution of the Operations & Maintenance division comprehensive business and operational strategy. Responsible for contributing to meeting business and operational goals within functional area.
  • Provides the leadership team with insightful information and data with regards to handled functional areas.

Job Description

Oversee the control, monitoring, and optimization of potable water treatment and distribution systems from a central control room.

Ensure the efficient and reliable production of safe drinking water by managing various processes, equipment, and systems involved in water treatment, purification, and distribution

Potable Water Operations Management

  • Continuously monitor the operation and performance of water treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical dosing, to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Adjust operational parameters such as flow rates, chemical dosages, and treatment levels to optimize water quality, minimize wastage, and maximize efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations promptly to prevent disruptions to water supply and maintain water quality standards.
  • Ensure that potable water treatment and distribution operations comply with all relevant safety standards, environmental regulations and quality control protocols to safeguard public health.
  • Analyse operational data, water quality parameters, and performance metrics to identify trends, assess system performance, and implement improvements or corrective actions as needed.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, such as equipment failures, water quality incidents, or supply disruptions, by implementing contingency plans, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate corrective actions.

Work closely with other plant personnel, water quality specialists, maintenance teams, and regulatory agencies to coordinate activities, share information, and ensure seamless operation of potable water system
