Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor the operation and performance of MSFE units from the central control room, ensuring that all parameters are within specified ranges for efficient and reliable operation.
  • Adjust operating parameters such as feed flow rates, steam pressures, and temperatures to optimize MSFE performance in terms of freshwater production, energy efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or abnormalities in MSFE operation, coordinating with maintenance teams to address mechanical or operational problems promptly.
  • Ensure that MSFE operation complies with all relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and operating procedures to prevent accidents and maintain required quality standards.
  • Analyse operational data and trends to identify opportunities for improving MSFE performance, efficiency and reliability, as well as predicting and preventing potential issues.
  • Work closely with other plant personnel, including operators, maintenance technicians, and control room operators, to coordinate MSFE operation with overall plant processes and objectives. Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and operators on MSFE operation, safety protocols, and best practices to ensure effective and efficient plant operation.
