Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions efficiently using cash registers and point-of-sale systems, ensuring accuracy in all monetary exchanges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries, resolving issues, and maintaining a friendly demeanor throughout interactions.
  • Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, ensuring that all items are properly displayed and stocked for customer convenience.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, carefully counting and balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Monitor inventory levels at the register and communicate restocking needs to management promptly.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist with promotional sales and communicate effectively about ongoing store promotions to enhance customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and foster a positive work environment.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to efficiently handle discrepancies in transactions or customer complaints.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and store policies to provide informed assistance to customers.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, showcasing foundational education.
  • Experience in a retail or customer service role for at least 1-2 years, demonstrating familiarity with cash handling.
  • Certifications in cash handling or customer service excellence can give candidates an edge.
  • Candidates with experience in fast-paced environments are highly desirable, as they can adapt quickly.
  • Open to candidates of any nationality, promoting a diverse work environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus for customer engagement.
