Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual and physical inspections of car bodies, panels, and frames.
- Identify and document existing damage, such as dents, scratches, rust, and signs of collision.
- Use specialized tools (e.g., paint thickness gauge) to check for repainting, putty work, and body fillers.
- Examine the chassis and undercarriage for signs of structural damage, welds, or misalignment.
- Verify the consistency of paint color, texture, and finish across all panels.
- Assess the condition of car lights, mirrors, bumpers, and other exterior components.
- Record all findings clearly and accurately in a digital or written report.
- Communicate inspection results to customers in a clear, professional, and easy-to-understand manner.
- Provide professional recommendations for necessary body or paint repairs, without performing the repair yourself.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all inspection tools and equipment are in good working order.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience 2-7 years as an Auto Body Technician, Paint Technician, or Inspector.
- Deep knowledge of automotive bodywork, paint application techniques, and common repair processes.
- Expertise in using inspection tools, including digital paint meters and dent-checking lights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for subtle imperfections.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- A valid driver's license is required.
