CAD Draftsman (min. 3 years experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draftsman to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in preparing 2D/3D technical drawings, collaborating with architects and engineers, and supporting projects from initial design to final execution. Experience in architectural, marine, or interior fit-out drawings is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical drawings, layout plans, and detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and production teams to translate concepts and sketches into accurate models and plans.
• Create detailed plans for architectural, joinery, marine (boat/yacht), and MEP layouts.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback and design modifications.
• Participate in design meetings to gather project requirements and specifications.
• Perform quality checks on design outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Produce multiple versions of design concepts for client and engineer/architect review.
• Provide support for interior fit-out detailing, including section drawings and material specifications.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, preferably across architecture, marine/yacht, or interior fit-out sectors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, Lumion, Photoshop.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in yacht/marine drafting and modeling.
• Knowledge of joinery detailing and interior fit-out processes.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and project standards.
• Exposure to working with MEP layouts and fire safety drawing standards.
