Roles & Responsibilities

Main Role (Overall Accountability)

A Business Analyst who will play a pivotal role in driving large scale transformation initiatives related deliverables in the bank. Working as part of the Change Management team, the analyst will facilitate requirement gathering, process mapping, detailed requirement writing and preparing test cases to support effective solution design, implementation and managing the solution post implementation. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including business, technical, and functional teams is essential.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Complete understanding of business requirements, banks processes, core banking systems and other banking systems.
  • Ability to translate the business requirements into coherent, usable technology requirements and effectively document the same.
  • Acts as a liaison between business users and technical analysts / developers in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and support of systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to align Business analysis tasks into project plans
  • Coordination with the business and IT teams on various project management activities.
  • Ensure effective change management
  • Identify the customization requirements where ever applicable and develop detailed specifications and review functional design documents
  • Responsibility to complete all BA related documentation.
  • Identify and document any gaps found during various project phases and coordinate with the stakeholders to develop the most appropriate approaches to address them
  • Support the timely and effective implementation of in house and vendor projects.
  • Supports the preparation and development of training materials
  • Analysis of the feasibility and impact of various change requests received from departments in the modules / projects managed.
  • Coordinate and ensure implementation of detailed requirements from the business

  • expected process improvements

Prepare testing strategy document, including test cases/scenarios for any relevant testing such as UAT, sanity, regression, pilot and others.

Coordinate the testing activities (UAT) with the business users ensuring status updates are

sent in accordance to the approved strategy and timely execution of the cases/scenarios.

Final sign off, documentation process and migration to the production environment.

User Acceptance Testing - UAT s (Comprehensive functional) to be organized and coordinated effectively. This is applicable to Change Requests and Projects handled.

Training coordination with the training department to ensure effective end user training for all projects / changes done.

Documentation Ensure effective documentation for all projects and CRs managed. Provision of user guide to the training department for end user training.

Other tasks and Duties:

  • To adhere to the bank policies and procedures.
  • To be responsible for personal learning and development
  • To administrate and organize own work to ensure that it is accurate and meets quality targets, reasonable deadlines and reporting requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor s degree (or equivalent years of experience).
  • 10-18 years of experience with business analysis in banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge in banking business.
  • Prior experience in CRM project deployment is preferred.
  • In depth knowledge in core banking system (Temenos) will be a critical added advantage.
