Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth, commercial sustainability, and overall development of the Workers Residential City. The role will encompass sales and marketing activities, contract negotiations and renewals, development of new facilities, and execution of expansion plans. The incumbent will play a key role in maximizing occupancy, enhancing revenue streams, and ensuring long-term commercial viability of the city through strategic business planning and feasibility studies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Activities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with employers, contractors, and corporate clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate and close commercial lease agreements with corporate clients.
Contract Management
- Manage the renewal and renegotiation of contracts with existing tenants and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Monitor tenant satisfaction and address issues to maintain retention rates.
Facility & Service Development
- Identify and recommend new facilities, amenities, and services to enhance the well-being and satisfaction of residents.
- Work with internal teams to implement upgrades or expansion projects that align with market demand.
- Coordinate with operations and facility management to ensure service quality.
Strategic Planning & Expansion
- Develop short- and long-term business plans for the residential city.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies for expansion projects, new revenue streams, or service enhancements.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and prepare business cases for senior management approval.
Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor sales performance against targets and provide regular reports.
- Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Track and analyze market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in business development, real estate, facilities management, or corporate housing.
- Strong track record in sales, leasing, and contract negotiation.
- Experience in preparing feasibility studies and business plans.
- Knowledge of residential facilities management and labor accommodation regulations (preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to evaluate data and market insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
